Hallsands is really two villages.
The houses that you come to first make up North Hallsands.
Just beyond, on a rocky ledge at the base of the cliffs, are the ruins of Hallsands itself, a ‘lost’ village, destroyed by the sea in the early part of the 20th Century (more of this later).
Follow the South West Coast Path up the hill using the “new” steps.
