Look out for more interestingly shaped trees and shrubs!
The winds have ‘pruned’ the vegetation, sometimes forming arches.
Start Point looks very similar to the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall, which is partly because they are both made of the same rocks: metamorphic mica-schists. These two places are the only outcrops of these rocks in the whole of the south-west of England.
